Introducing All Stars Cricket

This summer All Stars Cricket is coming to South East London.

All Stars Cricket is a brand new initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket.

The programme is delivered across England and Wales at accredited All Stars Cricket centres. It is a fun and active way to develop your child’s skills, and through the eight-week programme they will learn lots – as well as make new friends – in a safe and inclusive environment. Parents and carers are asked to stay and take part, so you can learn about cricket too!

All girls and boys are welcome, and each registered child will receive a pack of cricket goodies including a cricket bat, ball, backpack, water bottle, and a personalised shirt and cap to keep so that they can continue their love of cricket when they go home. Registration costs £40 which includes the equipment pack and all 8 sessions.

By registering for All Stars Cricket, your child will be guaranteed eight weeks of jam-packed fun, activity and skills development. The programme is suitable for all children new to cricket and sport as the sessions are designed to teach the basic skills of the game:

  • Batting – hitting a moving ball
  • Throwing – underarm and overarm
  • Catching – small and large balls
  • Bowling – overarm
  • Running – lots of movement
  • Teamwork – fun games with friends
  • Communication – the basics of cricket
  • Spirit of Cricket – how to respect others

The nearest All Stars centres to your school are:

Alleyn CC (Edward Alleyn Club in Burbage Road): sessions on Sundays from 10am to 11am from Sunday 21 May

Dulwich CC (Dulwich Sports Club in Burbage Road): sessions on Wednesdays from 4:30pm to 5:30pm from Wednesday 24 May.
